[ARCHIVED] Request for Bids (Dellwood City Hall Renovation)


Sealed proposals for the construction of the CITY HALL RENOVATION (project site located at 1415 Chambers Road, Dellwood, Missouri 63135) will be received by the City of Dellwood, St. Louis County, Missouri at the office of the City Clerk, 1415 Chambers Road, Dellwood, MO 63135 until 11:00 a.m. local time on October 4, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. All bids shall be submitted in triplicate in an envelope marked “City Hall Renovation”.
Copies (paper and/or digital) of the Bid Specifications may be obtained from WEIS DESIGN GROUP located at 16296 Westwoods Business Park Drive, Ellisville, MO 63021. Contact Weis Design Group at or call 636-207-0832 to obtain a Bid Document Request Form. A non-refundable fee ($130.00 for both paper and digital copy, or $50.00 for digital copy only), payable to Weis Design Group is required for the bid set.

No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The City of Dellwood reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein.
The contract work includes the complete demolition of the upper floor interior and partial demolition of the building's south facade, construction of a new interior and south facade. Renovations to the HVAC system, plumbing and electrical systems are design build deliverables; allowances are included for this work. Additional items and systems are inclusive in the Bid Proposal.

Bidders are informed that pursuant to Section 285.530, RSMo, as a condition of the award of any contract in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), the successful bidder shall, by sworn affidavit and provision of documentation, affirm its enrollment and participation in a federal work authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection to the contracted services. Successful bidders shall also sign an affidavit affirming that it does not knowingly employ any person who is an unauthorized alien in connection to the contracted services.

Bidders are informed that the Project is subject to the requirements of Section 292.675, RSMo, which requires all contractors or subcontractors doing work on the Project to provide, and require its on-site employees to complete, a ten (10) hour course in construction safety and health approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) or a similar program approved by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations which is at least as stringent as an approved OSHA program. The training must be completed within sixty (60) days of the date work on the Project commences. On-site employees found on the worksite without documentation of the required training shall have twenty (20) days to produce such documentation.
